Penzion u Ivana
welcome!
Penzion u Ivana is located in a small wine village Bořetice in the Břeclav region with 1300 inhabitants, more than 500 houses and 260 cellars picturesquely located outside the village under the wine route Cow mountain.
The Podluží plains stretching from Břeclav to us begin to undulate over Bořetice with slopes with orchards of apricots and vineyards.
The first written mention of the village is in the Přítlucká document from 1222. One hundred years later, there is also the first written mention of vineyards. The best vineyards are located north of the village and face south. Only since 1835 there was a lake between the village and these tracks, and that is why our ancestors built cellars under the wine route, which also gave the name to the republic Kraví hora.
The names of wine routes have been preserved from the Middle Ages and have always been Czech: Cow mountain lower and upper, Mountain above the meadows, Bočky Time, Mountain Long, Newspapers..
The loess clays make red wines stand out. Portugal is grown here, Frankovka, Vavřinecké and from new varieties André, Zweigeltrebe, Cabernet Moravia.
Of the white Neuburg varieties, Walnut and Rhine Riesling, Veltlin, Tramin and other varieties.
Apricots and quality wines attract many visitors to the village and fans of good wine. The village has preserved its costume and customs. The biggest cultural event is a three-day costume feast, which traditionally begin on the first Sunday in August.Information

Lednice-Valtice
The Lednice-Valtice area has been around since 1996 part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. No wonder, that this region used to be called "Lednice and its gardens" and today historical enthusiasts are proposing a new official name of the dominant village "Báječná Lednice". The majestic castles are surrounded by extensive gardens. The landscaped flower beds are covered with a flower carpet. The rolling fields of golden fields turn into greenish forests. The romantic landscape is decorated with ponds, whose glittering levels are dotted with water lilies. There are many magnificent buildings along the paved roads. Liechtenstein created it all hand in hand with nature.
dame tanks
The Nové Mlýny waterworks is a cascade of dam reservoirs on the river Dyje below the Pavlovské vrchy mountains in southern Moravia.. It is named after the settlement of the same name under the last dam. It consists of three dam reservoirs: Mušovská – upper tank, Věstonická – middle tank, Novomlýnská – lower tank. The tanks were built in 70. years 20. century, to prevent annual floods and increase the intensity of agricultural production. The upper reservoir is used for recreation, the middle is a nature reserve with islands for bird nesting and the lower for irrigation, electricity generation and fishing.
Pavlovské vrchy
Pavlovské vrchy (sometimes also Pálava, both names are derived from the village Pavlov) are a limestone formation, which stretches in the south of Moravia from the village of Pavlov twenty kilometers south around Mikulov to the state border with Austria. Limestone, of which the ridge consists, originated in the Mesolithic Sea and was lifted up to 549 m n. m. (Děvín, the highest mountain of Pálava) alpine folds. Thanks to the preservation of the original landscape, there are many often very rare animals and plants in the area. Thanks to this, the hills are part of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area, which is the northern part of the Lower Moravia Biosphere Reserve UNESCO.
